What it pays for
The National Cybersecurity Preparedness Consortium Act, 2021 (Pub. L. No. 117-122), establishes a framework for the National Cybersecurity Preparedness Consortium (NCPC) to enhance cybersecurity preparedness and response efforts across the United States. The act authorizes the NCPC to provide training, technical assistance, and other resources to state and local governments, as well as critical infrastructure partners, to improve their ability to prevent, detect, respond to, and recover from cyber incidents. Additionally, the act outlines the composition, responsibilities, and funding mechanisms for the NCPC, aiming to bolster national cybersecurity resilience through collaborative efforts between federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial entities.
