Goal: Provide resources to prevent and reduce school violence Improve school safety by providing K-12 students, teachers, and staff with tools to recognize, respond to, and prevent acts of violence. Train personnel and implement strategies to improve school safety. Train school personnel and educate students on preventing student violence against others and themselves; develop and implement threat assessment and/or intervention teams to identify school violence risks and implement strategies to mitigate those risks; and implement technology solutions, such as an anonymous reporting technology, designed to provide a way for students, teachers, faculty, and community members to anonymously identify school violence threats, or other solutions that will improve school safety.
