Staff Support to the Tribal Radioactive Materials Transportation Committee for Engagement with the U.S. Department of Energy on Radioactive Materials Transportation Planning. Facilitate engagement between DOE and federally-recognized Tribal governments throughout the United States in planning for future large-scale DOE transportation of commercial used nuclear fuel (UNF), high-level radioactive waste (HLW) and other radioactive wastes, as well as related DOE program issues that may impact Tribal areas.

Each proposal will be evaluated based on an objective merit review in accordance with the requirement of "DOE Financial Assistance Regulations" (2 CFR 200) and the evaluation criteria set forth in the competitive solicitations. These criteria typically include: appropriateness of the proposal method or approach, competency of research personnel and adequacy of proposed resources, reasonableness and appropriateness of the proposed budget, and other appropriate factors.
