Limits
Grants must be made to non-profit organizations with 501(c)(3) status or governmental units such as public schools or city departments or for inherently charitable activities; grants are not made (i) to organizations whose primary purpose is religious, or (ii) for propagandizing, influencing legislation and/or elections, promoting voting registration, for political candidates, political campaigns or organizations engaged in political activities; or (iii) to federal appeals or to organizations that collect funds for redistribution to other non-profit groups.
