- Limits
- In awarding grants, the foundation gives preference to charitable organizations located in communities from which vermeer corporation team members commute or that demonstrate the proposed grant would further the foundation's ideals. Most grants are for charitable purposes but, to the extent that funds are available, grants may be made for other purposes, and to organizations in other parts of the state of iowa. Few grants will be made to organizations in other states, and such applications are not preferred. There are no specific limitations on the size of the grants that will be awarded other than justification of need. Scholarships are awarded to eligible students of vermeer mfg co employees, based upon the percentage test in rev.proc. 76-47 section 4.08, which was approved by the irs. Selections are done by an independent panel.
