What it pays for
To develop, execute, and document a process evaluation, an outcome evaluation, andin the instance that an outcome is validateda cost-benefit analysis of the Army’s Youth Program in a manner consistent with the guidelines and standards established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the American Evaluation Association, and/or evidence-based practice registries.
Who can apply
State agricultural experiment stations, State cooperative extension services, all colleges and universities, other research and extension institutions and organizations, Federal agencies, private organizations or corporations, and individuals to facilitate or expand promising breakthroughs in areas of the food and agricultural sciences of importance to the United States. Applicants for the Army Youth Program Evaluation grant must meet all the requirements discussed in the NOFO. Failure to meet the eligibility criteria by the application deadline may result in exclusion from consideration or, preclude NIFA from making an award.
How applications are judged
NIFA will evaluate applications using the evaluation criteria described in the Notice of Funding Opportunity.
In general, NIFA evaluates applications using a two-part process. First, NIFA screens each application to ensure that it meets the administrative requirements set forth in the Notice of Funding Opportunity. All administrative requirements must be met in order for the application to proceed to the next level of review. Second, a scientific peer-review process is used to technically evaluate applications that have met the administrative requirements using a review panel.
